The city recently purchased VIP Accounting, VIP Payroll, VIP Employee Portal, and VIP Analytics to replace aging systems that no longer met their needs. Shelby was dealing with disconnected systems and a lot of manual work. Here’s a snapshot of some key challenges their team wanted to solve:
Processes were paper-heavy. Requisitions and purchase orders were printed and passed around for approvals. Departments didn’t have access to real-time budget data, so tracking available funds was time-consuming and unclear.
Bank reconciliations were being done manually in spreadsheets instead of through an integrated financial system.
Invoices couldn’t be scanned or stored in the system, making records harder to manage.
